Every Picture Tells A Story
The sleek, minimal look of modernity is everywhere these days. And for good reason, it looks great. But every once in a while it’s good to reconnect with the human experience. Enter classic vintage design.Let’s do a little thought experiment. Look at the vintage 1950’s Wonderbread ad below and contrast it with what they’re doing today. Similar? Sure. But somehow the personality and warmth of the vintage design connects better.
In fact, while running my weekend errands in San Francisco I noticed a refreshing return to the graphic style of the past. It creates warmth, interest and a nice contrast. As we work to stay on top of the new, sometimes bringing back the old is just what we need.
