18 Reasons – A Community Cooking School With a Purpose

John ServingWith so much emphasis on food this season, it’s a good moment to remember those who are less fortunate than us. Whether you’re an experienced cook, a new neighbor in the Bay Area looking for a fun night out, or someone just learning your way around the kitchen, there are countless reasons to check out the nonprofit cooking school 18 Reasons.

Helmed by the folks from Bi-Rite, 18 Reason’s community cooking classes, elaborate dinners, and festive gatherings are a welcoming place to practice new skills, experience exceptional cuisine and beverages, and celebrate. But, more importantly, by supporting their programs, you’re helping them to bring cooking and nutrition classes to low-income communities in the Bay Area through their free Cooking Matters Here, underprivileged families learn to cook, eat and discover how to make quick, healthy, affordable, delicious meals every day. Now that’s something to be thankful for!

You can help support the cause by purchasing a membership to 18 Reasons, making a donation, or volunteering. And, don’t forget to look at their calendar of upcoming classes and events.
