Prometheus offers a host of employee benefits that takes compensation well beyond a paycheck. It includes the traditional things (like health care, retirement plan and paid time off) and some you might not expect, like a break on a place to live, to a day off on your birthday. Prometheus provides a choice of four health care plans designed to address the needs of employees in California, Washington, Oregon and Utah. Our health benefits are available to full-time employees (30+ hours per week) and are designed to provide you with cost-effective, comprehensive coverage. You can decide which type of plan best meets your needs and choose the health plan that works best for you and your family.
Dental coverage is provided through MetLife PDP, which is a Preferred Provider Organization (PDP), wherein you choose a provider on an “as needed” basis.
VISION CARE: Prometheus offers vision care coverage through Vision Service Plan (VSP). With VSP you can receive vision care services from any provider you wish, however, you will receive the highest level of coverage when you use network providers. Most eligible services from network providers are covered at 100%, including annual eye exams and lenses.
RETIREMENT PLANNING: 401(k) PLAN: The Prometheus 401(k) Plan makes it easy for you to save and invest for retirement with pre-tax contributions from your paycheck. Employees may contribute up to 15% of their compensation on a pre-tax basis. You can enroll during our first open enrollment after completing 90 days and you can roll over your existing 401(k) at any time.
401(k) COMPANY MATCH: Prometheus’ program will match 50% of the first $2,000 (up to $1,000) you contribute to your 401(k).
These costs are on us.
LIFE INSURANCE: At Prometheus you are covered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, anywhere in the world by the Group Life Insurance Plan. This coverage, is equal to one time your annual base salary rounded to the nearest $1,000.
LONG-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE: You are covered up to 60% of your salary (to a maximum of $15,000 a month) per month during your time off from work due to injury/illness.
SHORT-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE: Employees in our WA, OR, and UT regions have access to Short Term Disability, per an employee paid contribution plan. CA employees have access to the Disability programs provided by the state.
Paid Time Off
VACATION: You can begin to plan your time off (with the appropriate permissions of course) as Prometheus employees begin accruing vacation immediately. Vacation accrual applies to both regular full-time employees and part-time employees. If you work for us on a full-time basis, you will accrue 2 weeks vacation after completing your first year!
ANNIVERSARY BONUS: Employees that have been with our Company 5, 10, 15, 20 (and any years that end in 5 or 0) are eligible for one (1) additional week of paid time off to be used in their anniversary year.
BIRTHDAY BONUS DAY OFF: It’s your special day! Prometheus celebrates with you by awarding our employees a day off with pay.
SICK LEAVE: Full-time employees accrue up to a maximum of five (5) sick days per anniversary year and sick leave accrues from the first day of employment. Part-time employees also are eligible for sick leave at a reduced rate.
HOLIDAYS: Prometheus observes 8 National holidays per calendar year and one floating holiday (for a total of 9 days):

FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS: Our Flexible Spending Accounts help you reduce taxable income by setting aside the cost of health care premiums, health care expenses, and dependent care expenses on a pretax basis with easy payroll deductions.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: We recognize that there may be times when we need help to solve a particular challenge in our lives. We provide confidential counseling services to you and your family through our Employee Assistance Program.
EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE: Prometheus is committed to employee development. After only 90 days, employees are eligible for reimbursement of up to $1,500 per calendar year for job-related courses offered outside the company. For example, you could utilize this program to achieve professional accreditations such as CPM or CPA designations or to take courses for HVAC or Appliance Repairs.
EMPLOYEE REFERRAL: Know someone who should be working for us? All of our Prometheus employees are eligible for the Employee Referral Bonus Program. This exciting bonus program rewards employees for referring qualified individuals who are subsequently hired by Prometheus. The bonuses, which are paid after a short introductory period, range from $250 for part time positions, to as much as $5,000 for corporate exempt positions.
Serve It Forward
Being an industry leader takes attention to detail in everything that we do, every moment of the day. Prometheus’ Serve It Forward program sets out easy to remember, easy to follow standards for customer service that make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors.
We believe in giving back to the communities we call home. That’s where the Prometheus Outreach and Community Help program (POrCH) comes in. By providing Prometheans the opportunity to volunteer in the community on the clock, POrCH helps ensure that we’re active members of our communities. Plus, it’s just what good neighbors do.
Awards and Recognition
Prometheus doesn’t just talk about superior service, we live it. So, when we see a fellow Promethean doing something above and beyond the call of duty, we give them our own version of a high five. It’s called the Torch program and it recognizes and rewards, in big and small ways, all the things Prometheans do every day that make us stand out from the riff raff.
The annual Prometheus Masters' Conference is the forum for the presentation of awards to top performers throughout the property management organization. At this highly successful conference, employees are recognized for their stellar performance, including honors such as “Property Manager of the Year” and “Maintenance Supervisor of the Year.”
Maintenance Contest Awards
To reinforce and recognize the meticulous maintenance standards throughout the Prometheus portfolio, a rigorous maintenance contest is held annually. Each community is subject to close scrutiny by a panel of judges and is ranked for quality of maintenance and property safety. The winners of the Maintenance Contest are recognized at the annual Masters' Conference.
We believe that a thoughtful, innovative neighbor experience doesn’t come without a little education. We offer the chance to learn and grow from experts in the field. Management, technology, communications, sales and marketing are just some of the areas we cover. Our education and training programs give you professional skills you’ll be able to use for the rest of your life.
Prometheus provides an in-house training program to all maintenance personnel. The training focuses on the skills needed by the maintenance team including the handling of hazardous materials (asbestos, toxins, etc.), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, safety, energy efficiency, fountains and pools, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
Sales and Marketing Training
These training sessions are interactive seminars. Topics include excellence in telephone communication, closing techniques, selling styles, and the ultimate leasing experience.
The Prometheus Masters' Conference is an annual retreat for Property Managers and Maintenance Supervisors. The conference promotes employee growth and development, team interaction, and enhanced communication. This off-site retreat features motivational speakers, professional seminars and a host of organized activities. The event culminates with the always popular awards dinner.
